Few things are as widely enjoyed and appreciated as gift boxes of chocolate. Many people are surprised by how easy it can be to make your own chocolates. Even when you want to offer custom logo assortments, there are many different chocolate molds that you can use to create virtually any style. The key to quality chocolates, especially with molded chocolate, is choosing the right ingredients and preparing the chocolate correctly. Here are some things that you should consider.
Offer Many Chocolate Flavors
You may not realize that there are so many different types of chocolate to consider. The flavor of the final chocolates will depend on the choice that you make.
Dark chocolate has a richer, more bitter chocolate flavor because it contains more cacao and less milk or sugar. Milk chocolate, which is a very common confectionery chocolate in the United States, has a higher milk content and more sugar, making it a sweeter and softer product. White chocolate is another option though it is not technically considered chocolate. It contains no cacao but does contain cocoa butter. It is sweet and has a vanilla flavor, which is a sharp contrast to other chocolate products.
You can also add flavor to the chocolate with extracts. Peppermint, orange, and similar alcohol-based extracts work well when added to melted chocolate.
Temper For Proper Consistency
When you mold chocolate in the way that is necessary to create custom logo chocolates, most customers will look for a product that has that traditional chocolate snap when they bite into it. To get quality snappy chocolate, you need to temper your chocolate products. This means warming the chocolate to a certain temperature before adding more unmelted chocolate and stirring until everything is melted and slightly cooled.
Fill the molds and allow the chocolate to sit for about five minutes at room temperature. The chocolate should start to set at that point. Tempering not only ensures that chocolate sets with that snap in the texture but also with the glossy sheen that makes chocolate products look so tempting. You won't need to add oil or any other components to the chocolate if you temper it correctly.
These are just some of the things that you need to understand when you're considering offering custom logo chocolate assortments. If you want to offer quality products that your customers will enjoy, choose the right chocolate product and temper it correctly. These elements help you get the right final product for your needs.Share
